How to Upload Pictures on the Forum

I'm asked a lot by new members how to put up pictures on the forum, so will start off by showing you how to do it using the forum's own facilities, and then I'll explain another way of doing it.

Step one, click the "post reply" Button on the thread you want to upload a picture to.

Step Two, Type some text in the box as normal and then Scroll down slightly and click the "Manage attachments" Button.

A new window will open up, and you then click "Choose"

After clicking "Choose", a standard browse window will open up, and you simply browse your computer until you navigate to the folder containing the picture you want to upload. If its a JPG you need to make sure that it is 97.7Kb or smaller, if it isn't then you need to use an image editor to reduce the size of the picture, such as Microsoft paint etc etc.

Anyway assuming the file is of the right size, you select it and click "Upload"

The final step is to check that the file uploaded, and then you can close the attachments window and Click the "submit Post Button"

Your picture or pictures will appear as if by magic on the thread. Remember you can only upload 4 pictures in any one post!! :yawinkle:

If you right click a picture you want to put on the forum, and then click properties, it will tell you how big the file is! you can either reduce the size of it in a photo editor or if you windows XP you can download a neat little power tool to use which will give you the option of resizing with just 2 clicks.

Install this if you are using Windows XP, its safe and its from Microsoft.

cheers simon thanks for help mate wanted to put pic up of my female ria to show how big she is in conjuntion with the thread reagrding big or small harris and prices lucky me i only paid 150 for this beauty , last years bird. thanks again
