I;m rather curious to know what everyone wears when out hunting with their bird(s)
I'm looking to get ''kitted out'' and would like some recommendations on good quality jackets. boots, trousers etc that stand up to the rigours of a days hunting in extremely muddy ground .
I believe ones appearance is very important , particuarly when meeting a member of the public , who most likely knows little of falconry, when out hunting.(Says she who tends to wear jeans at the moment, and not my best pair when out either) but I'd like to look reasonably smart when hunting/flying birds.
Thanks in advance for any recommendations.
PS Apologies if this is in the wrong forum.

checked shirt ,green cords , does it realy matter as flying your bird in farmers fields etc dont think they are going to be botherd what you dress like as long as you are comfy and can walk for a couple of hours and dont get cut to ribbons on brambles and fences

i find a good pair of boots are much better than wellies,, along with a pair of gaters...... mole skins are expensive,, so a pair of green combat trousers for everyday use,,,,, a tattersal shirt ,,, and a fleece or jumper......... i can wear an outfit that cost over £800 from a country outfitters or one that cost £30 from an army and navy surplus ,,,,,,,,,, horses for courses

My thoughts on this have always been to be comfortable for the outing, but make sure that things are in good condition before you go.
I must agree that a good pair of boots is a must. Plus take in to account what you will be hunting for and where you will be walking. Gators or even hunting chaps can make things a lot better for going through the briars. They also make hunting jean with either leather or cordura doubled on the fronts and sides for bush whacking.
As long as you take care of your kit and it looks respectable what should it matter what you wear?
