Hi
Just wondering how many falconers alike are having problems with trying to train a new bird when it keeps pi**ing it down
Do you keep running in and out to put it under shelter or leave it out ??
I persnally leave her out but don't know if i'm doing right or wrong suppose someone will say so tis all part of learning  .

If is raining, mann your bird in a room, do jump ups, clean feet, oil jesses, make new equipment, practise getting your bird to step up to the glove from the perch. Plenty to do when it rains, I wouldnt be on here normally, but my bird is coming in 3 days!!! whooooooo!!!!!!

there's no rush mate, you can only get wet once, you mention that she still bates away, well if she's wet she is less likely to bate, so use these day's to potter about her while she's damp and on her perch,it's not exactly cold at the minute so i can't see her comming to any graet harm for her soaking, do some walk pasts or approach with a titbit and pick her up,feathers are less likely to break when wet which is another good idea to use wet weather to try and get her over her nervousness on you're approach.
