our pond

Some of you will of heard me talking on Messenger about the pond that hubby wanted dug out for shooting on. Well we eventually got it done, the pond was very overgrown and non existent really but it appears on tidal maps dated back in 1820 :shock: so we went and got a swing shovel in and dug it out. Well i took my gsp down for walk today to see it now it has some water in it (it was only dug out the beginning of last week) and walked in to to see 5 wild duck fly off it, they didn't go far just circled around the farm and pond whilst i walked the banks. Anyway thought you'd like some pics of it, oh and my dog that seems to like the water :lol: in fact she was pestering me to throw the stick in everytime she brought it back :roll:

there must of been plenty of wildlife in it, as the evening the digger left 2 herons were down there. Number of ducks we're putting on it will be about 60. reference fish, i've no idea about fishing, never really thought about it, but would be possible as the pond is fed by a stream. Oh yes i'm planning on walking Kira down there too! Can't let the boys have all the fun with there guns now can i? :lol: :twisted: :wink:

Get some crocodiles aswell, might as well go the hole hog and rent it out to the 2012 olympics as the swimming events ,lol
Some gypo,s like me only dream of owning a lake like that ????
