I buy it at the local mountainer shop I buy 4mm diameter cords for the jesses and a bit bigger will be OK for the leashes.

moses if you look arround you'll come accross lots of potential leash making material, most is braided nylon, but bare in mind with a new bird which is going to bate quite a bit in the early days, the tighter the braid the better, i baught some braided nylon from b and q, it looks nice and with a steady bird will easilly do the job, but on my first day with sky while she was having a tantrum she got a tallon caught in the leash, not a good situation mate, so just take a good look arround and choose wisely mate.
