This is the paypal account of brians sister Kelly which is to be used to make contributions in memory of Brian. Kelly will let us know how much was collected and what the family have decided to do with the money. It was unfortunate that this didn't happen at the festival but at least this way people who didn't attend will have an opportunity to give something if they wish to. I think Kelly will use a bit of the money to frame the beautiful pictures that are going to Brians mother and his son.
Please dont ask me about how to use paypal as I have never managed to do it:rolleyes: As far as I know you send it from the paypal site to this address..

I have no idea who that little rant is aimed at - but it most certainly is disrespectful

It is very disrespectful Jiff and cos of people who make comments like you it was suggested to me to ensure the family had total control of the money and not a member of here who could get accused of either pulling a fast one or doing things for the wrong reasons. We are not trying to accumalate cash for us.. its a gesture from his friends on here to his family for then to do with as they wish. If they chose to donate it on then thats their decision and if they chose to blow it down the bingo then they can do that too!! As long as they get it all and have a nice time on it:supz:

I have to say, I am partly in agreement with Jiff, I have never understood the need for cash at times like this,

Maybe his family should have been asked to nominate a charity.

This is disgusting! The thought that folk can bring themselves to quibble
over such matters is shameful.
If you wish to contribute, fine, if you don't, then that is your business, but
unless you can enter into the spirit that is appropriate, it might be better
to say as little as possible.
What the family decides to do with it is entirely their own affair, and to
ask such questions displays a poverty of consideration.
It is hardly a gift, freely given, if you wish to criticise and complain, and
I can only hope that sometime in the future your own family do not find
themselves insulted in this despicable manner.

Gentle would not have been concerned about what you say there Jiff, but those who cared about him might well be. You might have shown some awareness of that fact if you did not retreat into a bottle as a way of coping with every emotion. When Gentle got drunk he reckoned to take his clothes off and dance on the nearest table. You are far less entertaining...in fact you are not entertaining at all, just bitter.
It's entirely traditional to form a collection at times of death. In the old days friends and neighbours would turn up with food and drink in order that a bereft family might feel held in the symbolic embrace of a caring community.
Just bend and tie your shoelaces when the plate passes my friend, and save your money for another pint.

Just making my donation. Guys you all coughed up well when there was a possible reward at the end, ie a BBQ, or a prize from Joe. But this forum is a real community in my opinion and I'm sure we can raise a few quid for the memory of member who brought a smile to so many of our faces.
So Bump
RIP Brian.

This is a good idea as it gives me a chance to give something to Gentles family until i can get down to put some flowers on his grave. The amount of times Gentle put me off coming to see him and this time he won't be able to stop me

for crying out load jiff, you some sort of loner or something? at times like this friends and family need support, how they do it is up to them, griff mentioned the army could have something to do with this, a man who fought for our country and you have nothing to give back, not even an ounce of respect, you couldnt even hold your tongue! i cant understand the fact you had to say something and not just forgot about it and moved on to another thread,
i never knew gentle or spoke to him just like i dont know you, but my respect is there and as a falconer or hawker we should stand together and pull together
enough said
r.i.p gentle

I'm not sure if people are clear about how they might contribute..and you do need a Paypal account to do so.
If you have one then you just need to log in..access the option to 'Send Money'...and tap in this e mail addy as the proposed recipent of your donation.
