Whilst looking up some info on common buzzards I happened to see the Japanese translation "kuso-tobi" now, that as an exact translation into english I believe, appears to be "sh*t kite" :lol: !


I'm sure that will please some of those who mock it's (lack of) ability to catch rabbits, still my favourite bird though :roll:

Well i'm completely smitten with the little guy we have right now.

He earned his dinner tonight by jumping a little from the perch to the glove and thats with 4 dogs hovering in the back ground and he,s making the most adorable sounds right now. Different from the aweful squaking a few days ago.

I know they are not the most exciting of birds but they have their place.

The Chinese translation looks better - "dirt panther"

Lol - i like the common buzzard to, just not for hunting, especially the one you have there Kornie & DomGoddess - bit on the small side. They're gr8 birds to fly so maybes the Japanese translation aint right!! hehe lol :D
