The repopulation of Harris Hawks, in the 1980's, in California has led to a little consternation about just how 'True' an area description might be when trying to' label 'a bird ..
My reading was scant but i gained the idea that there was no real benefit to introducing 200 Harris to repopulate the area ..
Why ???Well there didn't seem to any reports of progeny surviving .. Maybe the reports never got collated if there were any ..
Now with birds being 'air-crafted' 'commuted ' around and an almost 'puppy factory ' look about the whole thing it might make one wonder just how any one can be certain about pairing !!!
