A few months ago my wife and I were walking around the man made lake. I live a block away from the lake , river and a small forest with a healthy population of both deer, ducks, geese, swans and the occassional Pelican. We walk the hounds daily and as I was listening to the morning sights and sounds I was carefully watching one of my favourite birds, a red winged black bird . They are a marsh bird and have a real distinct call, I told my wife I am going to make a hood in the colors of the bird and paint the bird on the inside,, The hood is a Dayton Elle. This hood features a larger beak opening BUT still covers the soft tissue of the gape which I much prefer.
Here is the black bird on a cat tail.

And the Red wing black bird, the hood and painting is dyed so will never scratch or flake off, it is permanent.

Hello glad they arrived safely, I think we should go down one size, the hoods I think are a bit big, they seem sloppy, what do you think? PleasePM me and I will arrange to make you two smaller hoods, I missed on the size of your wonderful gos..
