as the title says

any of u guys ever had to retire your pride and joy coz of an injury, like a lost eye or loosing the ability to fly etc

i notice sometimes in the bird marts, people selling birds for breeding coz they cant fly any more.

any of u guys ever had that experience

cheers

Moses Haha no way teh best hawk I ever had , coming down in vertiacl stoop from over 2000' Pheasant had been flown before , turned 180mn degrees, cam back from wher it had been flushed an dcrashed through some high trees behind us as the falcon was pulling out of it's stoop . heard the phezzie hit the trees anm dthen the falcon hit the tree tops with a sickening thud, she killed her quarry NF had ` good look over her , no sign of damage but 8 weeks later she moulted out 4 end primaires and has never regrown them         Moses U post this thread wait till iyt happens 2 u m8 & ull b deavstated !

i hope it doesnt happen to anyone, sounds bad mate as long as your bird can still fly i hope she aint missing her lost feathers the poor girl

i always check whats on in the birdmarts the ibr one and the other one, they just sold a goshawk for breeding only, poor sod only had one eye.

it will be very hard on people who really get attached to their bird and have awesome times and suddenly its out for life , cant hunt no more just sitting on the perch all day, heartbreaking it will be.

i know a lad he was hunting with his mates a yr ago with his harris and it flew towards where the wind was going it carried her away, next when he found her she hit someones car screen

she healed and is back to normal but she is too frightened and nervous to fly and hunt anymore, but he has hope her master , God willing she will be fine i hope one day.

cheers
