if metal is used, what can u use as a rubber grip to put under the astro turf
do any of u guys make your own
i got a proper factory one anyway just thinking of getting a few made as spares

For a rubber grip, i'd use rubber... /grins.
You mean something to grip the astroturf down to the actual bow? Double sided sticky tape! and then just cable tie both ends down... that should secure it pretty well...

i meant u know the rubber sheaths on factory made bow perches something of that material to put on the metal bow my friend and then of course cover it with astroturf
dont want the astroturf to keep on sliding, dont wanna glue it on but tie it on

heat-shrink tubing? cycle handlebar tape? an old cycle inner tube?
not that i've tried these - just ideas

mate i made a block perch a few months back
with astroturf the one i had had a less grippy material
i will check it out, cheers , boobook thats more like it mate, yes grippy handle bar types

block perch was easily made i got a few cut up logs and nailed the astroturf and a metal ring on the side :D
