ben long does neat childs gloves. they are better as the leather is thinner and softer. You dont want something too thick thats gona restrict movement, or so he might let go of the leash or somethin. Like CZ said, most will them will knock one up but look for the thinner leather. Or a thick single - martin jones does a cool thick single - i use one with my gyr/saker np.

Hi Xantara if you are looking for a quality glove. The best i have ever used is from a guy called Archie Rutherford in Canada all you have to do is email him and send him the print of your sons hand. Just tell him i have sent you from the forum and you will get a good deal, he uses all kinds of leather. The last one i had made was out of elk deer horse.
It was second to none and i still use it today three years later.I've just ordered a new one for the coming season. Hers a picture of my daughters glove who is only four but loves to come out in the field hunting.

Ok Sox get holes in yes

It used to be practice to darn (to sew with needle and thread) holes in sox

I cant sew so throw holy sox away

Gloves need sewing

As the HH is a long way off I will have lots of time to practice.

Welsh humour it is very difficult sometimes sorry

Well cool indeed. And quite confident. Been a falconer from birth I'll wager. :D

Making gloves is a pain in the ass but very rewarding when they are finished

How do you send a print of the hand, using a scanner? or would a measurement do?

I need to get a glove for my daughter, but as she will grow out of it I dont want to spend too much on her first one.
