Just recieved my R-com pro 20 which I ordered from the state of Victoria a few days ago. Was reading through the instructions, which are only slightly less complicated that the space shuttle operators manual. It's written in "Chinglish" which I don't usually have a problem with, but at the bottom of page 24, it says "! Do not place any goons near the incubator". This one has me stumped. Any suggestions? I've warned the wife not to open the door to Welsh tenors or anyone resembling Spike Milligan- what else should I do? JayInOz

I thought everyone knew what a goon was!

have you ever heard of a 'spork'...... its like a spoon with prongs which enables it to be used as a fork as well.

Clearly a 'goon' is a gun which doubles up as a spoon!

and I think everyone should have one.......maybe a 'dragons den' idea?!?

Quite why you should keep your goon away from the incubator? well you got me stumped

Hi Jay, I've just had a look at my manual at page 24 and can't see referance to "goon" anywhere:confused: Perhaps the manuals going to Oz have been sabotaged just to annoy you? could you expand on the context of the section so I can have another look,
regards Alistair

G'day Alistair. Definitely bottom of page 24 in my manual, just under a highlighted paragraph about dew condensation. One thing I have noticed- the R-com Pro 20s advertised here on the IFF are last years model (2008) with the "new improved humidity control which does away with the humidification pad". I assumed that the one I've just bought- as in last week- would be the latest and greatest, but it came with the humidification pad- hope I haven't just paid a heap of money for an outdated model :(.
The very first thing written on the front cover of my manual is "Most Valuable Life Birth with R-COM" :) What about yours? JayInOz

Hi Jay, I've solved the puzzle. Your manual must be the one specially made for the colonies:goodman: After reading mine, on page 21, under Dew condensation, it says "Do not place GOODS near the incubator,

Hahaha! Thanks Alistair. Now why didn't I think of that? I'll have to try to forget about goons now- the wife is getting really tired of my Spike Milligan impressions:) I suppose the majority of forum members would be too young to know what I'm talking about. Here's some stuff for the younguns to study:) http://www.thegoonshow.net/downloads.asp JayInOz
