Gray eagle (Harpyhaliaetus coronatus)

In Brazilian Falconers Association - ABFPAR (www.abfpar.org) we received an eagle of the species Harpyhaliaetus coronatus. This bird is disabled to fly, after we make the sexage we proved to be a male, and this bird now is of my friend's ownership and President of ABFPAR, Leo ***ui. We thought perhaps to use this bird for environmental education or reproduction.

I send some pictures for the friends' analysis.

Hello

In Brazil the falconry doesn't exist as sporting activity of hunt, the falconry is recognized by the environment organs, as a form of becoming rehabilitation, to reproduce, or to control species curses. We of ABFPAR are struggling so that our laws in what refer the falconry it approximates a little of what it is the falconry in USA, Spain, England and other countries, but the walk is long it is arduous.
This eagle is disabled because she had a wound in the wing, probably due to a firearm shot, that disabled her for the flight. Interest of some institutions exists in joining male and female to try the reproduction, since it is a threatened species of extinction in Brazil.
This bird, a male weighs 2.950 grams and he has many forces in the claws, the span can arrive to 2 meters, and he has long tarsus. In the nature has registrations of this bird alimentary of Canídae, Rodents, Armadillos and another preys.
The glove that I use is a great protection, done of 6 layers of buffalo leather, but when she eats the mouse it is possible to notice the pressure of your claws.
Yes, this eagle with Harpia, Spizaetus, Spizastur, Oroaetus form a group of eagles of crowned of the neotrópics.

I do not know anybody who has hunted with this sort. I hardly saw some hang-gliding to the fist, or lure.

It is one of the threatened species of extinction in Brazil.

This bird was weighing 2.900 grams and he is a male.

what is the harpy's temperament:
on the fist?
on a kill?
when traveling?
when meeting a stranger?
when in a new place?
when meeting canines?
when being weighed?
