I have a friend that has a little owl she wants to rehome. I believe it's 8 months or older and has no A10. It's been described to me you legally can't SELL a native bird without one of these, but rehoming is ok. Is this true? Do I need to get an A10 sometime? Can I just keep the bird without one?
Thanks!

Cant you prove she was captive bred? ie a ring if possible? Ask the vet? Im not sure, but i think you could somehow?

Unfortunately even as a gift you will need the Article 10. Just apply for it, easy.

thats right......any person that takes on the bird without theA10 is asking for trouble in relation to their other birds..... get in touch with DEFRA..
