Did anybody here about the Golden Eagle that was lost in Livingston whilst being trained. There was a warning on local radio to be careful if anyone came across it but I didn't hear if it had been found. Does anybody know anything about it and has it been found yet.
Gary.

I heard recently that it was not a Golden Eagle but a Redtail but I don't know if that was a seperate incident.

I heard that it wasn't a pure goldie but a goldie steppe. Can't remember who told me. Haven't heard anything as to if it has turned up or not.

The bird in question i am reliably informed was a goldie/steppe hybrid and was recovered some time ago. Was apparently out for 3 days. It ****ed off whilst being trained In Dechmont Nr Livingston. Owner of said bird is regarded as a Robin Hood falconer. When reported to police and newspapers he said " tell the public not to approach as it has got sharp talons and is very very dangerous "
