I am interested to know what people think of these kites.

I am looking at products number 9 ( £40)
12 ( £72)
13

Do you think number 9 will be too small?

Thanks for any opinions presented.

RomeoHarrisHawk I think you did not get what OMG is about. We use kites to train birds, falcons and hawks.

CZ - yeah it's ok

RHH - yeah they don't need feeding and don't get shot

Paul - Do you think the 7.5 box deltas are better than 9 or 11 ft deltas? I need one to take a whole quail plus line and bits? I have no real experience with kites.

Whatb they call box kites are actually delta conynes, to lift 1000 ' of line + lure etc you really need a min of 9' however another option is what they call their 11' delta HTH

the delta kites are of a good make all that is needed is a plain kite of about 6 ft or more and a good strong main line then you my friend need to learn to get the kite up and to remain up and steady ,once you have masterd this then its about getting your bird to fly to the lure attached to the kite line which is attached some way below the kite

ok thanks everyone, perhaps the 7.5 ft box is not going to do the job then, but it still says it needs the same 100lb line as the 9ft delta?

The 9ft delta is £40, much cheaper than the falconry shops, is there any reason for this?

because the people who make the kites make loads for all different purposes and the falconry centres or sites think all us faloners are made of money and will spend our money on their kites as they make them specialy for falonry but makes no odds to me as i would buy my hawking gloves and leather from a saddlery who make very good horse tac if they made them
