any way he just invented his own paterbn lol, this was and is his first atempt and only one he made to date.

The Arab hoods look especially well made. I haven't seen the style shown on the left two hoods.

Try wearing a lead hat for an hour and see how your neck feels.

you know what i new it would be you black bird i just new it
its gona be a bit much int it thats why i put the weight of it.
any hoo im sure the corections will be made as matt has some super thin calf that will do the trick. i think its the kangaroo that causes the problem its very heavy for those little hoods . we have a falconry original hood two in fact a dutch and an anglo they both weigh in at 6 1/2 grams. both have been used on spars in the past and kestrels . i dont think they ever caused problems. oh well lets see what tonight brings as thats when most of the hoods get made.
see ya

Its the oil in the Kangeroo skin that gives the extra weight, Calf will be marginaly lighter but what you really need for spar hoods is snakeskin.
Nothing touches it
This said I do like to experiment with the linings of old jackets and such

Lovely Jackie!! You are quite right, if you have the knack hood making is great fun and with a bit of practice you can turn out some great looking hoods. Plus its so much better if you can make a servicable hood yourself, means if it doesnt fit, you can just make another! ;D
I have a houseful tho' ;) have to limit myself - keep finding them in odd places ;)

keep finding them in odd places
I have the same problem, now I get cup holders from the charity shops and pop them on that and it tends to keep keep neater and in one place.
