Hi guys I live in the farnham area of surrey, I would be interested in a get together once a month of other falconers in my area to just chew the fat and have a couple of pints with... we take it a bit further and have talks etc, guests and so on... I dont want a club with subs and all that, just some guys to share a pint and crack with... anybody interested I have a great pub in the area that is willing to give us a corner.... as I said Farnham area... anybody? Paul

Hi Paul,
I live in Alton, which is about 7 miles from Farnham & I'd love to meet up with some other Falconers, there must be others, surely.

ok lads, what day would be suitable... a week day, I would think as a lot of wives wont be happy to let oh out on a weekend....so if we can agree on a day, I can start to organize it... remember it will be a once a month get together, and you can bring the wife and kids as where I am planning caters for all that... play area etc, as long as we get some falconry talk time... Great idea, make sure they do great food. I like the idea of these relaxed meetings, ours have been running for 8 years now, despite our local 'formal' club telling us we wouldn't last 6 months!

But no one brings wives, as we spend as much time moaning about them, as we do talking about hawks. Good luck though mate, wish I lived closer. Atb

A friday night would be best for me- although I can be flexible.
I would not bring the family as my 3 boys are all under 5.

my hope is that the wives will dwindle out as time goes on... the pub does great food... like dave says I want it to be informal, in fact I was inspired from a meet that I went to in devon with david... it was a lovely evening, it will also help with alsorts of things such as swapping ferrets about for breeding, helping look after birds if the need arises... and so on, but just generally having a laugh, and the odd argument lol.... I think fridays and sats are not the best due to it being other peoples evening out... whereas mid week or whatever means we can almost take over the place... so please all interested parties pm me your tel number and I will get going with it... say first wed of the month for example.... Cheers Ash,
I've stopped flying her, due to bumblefoot & cocci, the cocci medication has knocked her back. I want her cocci free before she goes in the breeding chamber.
I am going to attempt breeding & if succsessful, would like to take you up on your offer.
