 Hi all, we have noticed this word tiring in many of the other posts, could someone enlighten us to what it is, as we are new to falconry, thanks?

It is the best way to keep your birds beak in trim, a boney tendon peice of meat that will have to be picked at for ages to get a small peice of meat from. This keeps the birds muscles for eating strong which soon go weak from eating chick all the time.

some people give rabbit legs with very little meat or heads to harris hawks.

The information you require is already on the forum, you just need to read a bit.

Turkey neck's are very good to use. They are big and small amounts of meat around a very big bone.

both depends on the trining stage etc etc etc........good for manning purposes but also good to give to the fully "trained" bird much as you would give a bone to a dog....hours of fun.....good excercise and not much reward tho the bird woudlnt know that....

if your feeding your bird rabbit, chances are that your bird is getting plenty of tirings.
tirings stop the bird from getting bored, rabiits heads and front legs are good for keeping the bird busy althought the former does contain quite a lot of meat
