I am asking as I have heard that some people got problems to get big quantities, 10000+ for a good price. The big hatcheries do not let people buy them any more as it is not worth it.

I go for Honeybrook too. I have a big chest freezer so can buy 3000 at a time and get them delivered for free....very useful out in the styx ;)
Oh and am always willing to sell a box to anyone local...

There are cheap options and people who have lost birds from feeding them !! eg thawed and refrozen, coccidiosis, e coli etc. spose you pays yor money an takes a chance. My birds welfare comes first. 200 in a box for £5 sounds OK to me...other alternative is to breed your own...oh an don't they get newcastles desease too, that kills BOPs too. Dont know much about chicken.

I'm with everyone else Honeybrook. Safe, reliable, quality.
Are you trying to stock up to cut down on the trips/calls to the supplier or do you use 10,000 DOC in three months?
Not recommended to store as a food source for over three months. Plus the size of the freezer and costs to run it are more than the savings from bulk purchase.
If you are talking large numbers and a regular program, Honeybrook will probably arrange something.
Good luck.

JFSeaman - i'm not the one looking for chicks :D
I get 250 in a box for £6.00 from a good friend. Get 40 quail in a box for £25.00.
I wouldn't store as many as that in my freezer for that period anyway. I said to the guy that is looking for large number of chicks to ask Honeybrook and see what they can do...
Cheers,
Jamie
