Hello Paul I was jut reading a message a bout what is a beginner's bird it was saying that in germeny a Goshawk is a beginner's bird what is your opinion on this. I feel I am the kind of person that dose my home work when it comes to some think like Falconery and it is defineteley not some think I would rush but on the same hand I would like to start on a good foot regarding what I should start with.
Thank you

It is a tough one because it is possible. Forinstance my second bird was a male sparrowhawk and I was about eleven.
What is not said is where I was and who was there to support me.
So if you had experience constant SUPPORT and many other factors around you, most will be OK.
Other than that I believe a HH is a good bird to start with as it is easier than most others and this will allow you to grasp the weight control concept with more ease!

my bros like OF said plus if u just want to fly and keep it fit get a bengal eagle owl its nice
hawks and falcons bros their made to hunt and like hawkmaster said its not nice depriving yourself of sex is it :D
like that a hawk needs to hunt as a cat needs to excercise itself and better itself at hunting, people never understood why does a cat play with its food the mouse sometimes
when in fact it actually perfects its grappling and hunting technique
like a lion and tiger, birds of prey r hunters not for display or for pleasure only
all the best in what u do bros

WERE WOULD BE THE BEST PLACES 2 HUNT WITH HARRIS HAWK IF YOU LIVE IN BUILT UP AREAS OR DO ALL FALCONERS LOOK FOR PERMISSION 2 HUNT ?
