I'm getting a hood made as an ornamental gift could anyone help me out as I can't find where to get a nice block for it. Thanks in advance

Sorry.... dont do blocks for sale :) I think Leveller has found an adequate presentation block for his ornamental hood.
Like to see a pic of the ornamental hood tho Leveller :)

buy some fibreglass resin and hardener.
Then line your hood with a good quality clingfilm.
Making sure the clingfilm lies smoothy inside.
Place some tape around the gape hole to provide strength for the clingfilm.
Mix up the required amout for the hood.
Pour it into the hood and leave it to harden for a while.
The mixture will get warm whlist it sets, this will not effect the hood.
When the mix is nearly set take it out of the hood and chuck it in a bowl of water.
Peel of the clingfilm.
One hood block of a exact fit.

hi mate i have quite a number of hood patterns i also make hood blocks Nos 1 -25 i also have patterns for anglo indian. let me know if you are interested
