Little Owls

I have always fancied a little owl, have seen them being flown and a friend had one for several years and it was amazing fun and a great little character. It actualy used to catch some real big insects... If all goes well I may be in a position to imprint one next year if I can find some one who breeds. Not too far from Wales. Thought if I put the feelers out now I may find one by next years breeding

the ones I have seen have also had good chatacter.

I had some friends in northants who flew one, it would buzz around in the kitchen perching on the top of the cupboards at night on a sort of plinth going all the way around the top of the cupboards, with paper underneath. People would come around, sit in the kitchen and not even notice it was there.
They will become extremely friendly and being of such a small size would always be hungry enough to fly if got into a routine of flying for dinner. Maybe best kept in at night though.

oh well expect the big local owls will see them off before I get my little 'un. Real big ones will make a meal for the Hawk
