What size are the original photos and what size have you changed them to, in order to put them on Photobucket?

Mate this is the size of the images you have put on your Photobucket, so they will only be this big on the forum.

Gerard,
I do it like this: make copy of a picture on my harddisk.
Then open the cpoy with MS Office Picture Manager and then I adjust the size to size web-small (480x638 ).
Then upload the adjusted copies to Photobucket and use the direct link to use this in the post.
Matbe there are faster methods (please let me know), but this works for me.
Regards, Arnoud

If you are trying to take a small image and make it much larger it will pixelate to a point you wont see an image only colored dots... If all it is letting you make it bigger too is the size of a postage stamp then much bigger than thatwill do this..... for istance making an Image the size of an avatar to the size of say A4 wont work

whatever size they are on photobucket will be the size on here if you host them remotely the picture location right click over the full size image and select "copy image location. I have not used photobucket for a few years as it can be iffy at times but I remember it can change the size of them for different uses ie message board or email and that is probably how you got two different sizes?
a good and free photo editor is fastone viewer- its really ok and you can easily rezize to a good forum or email size about 800x600 px is good

If you take the original at this size image
http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x4/mass2k7/origonal.jpg
Enlarge too much and it will pixelate
http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x4/mass2k7/resized.jpg
It also demonstrates the need to lock down your photobucket accounts people;)

Are you letting photobucket resize them for you? I tend to resize them myself using photoshop or even windows paint...I also save them as a jpeg (smaller file).... in the options on photobucket set it so you can upload a 1 mb size file (not a specific size as such)....see how that goes
