Hi everybody, I´m waiting for a new late arrival, a peregrine falcon that I want keep inside home for some time and I would know how to make a block for inside home.

i used a old paint tin the 10" tall bye 8" round ones. drilled a little hole near the botton put a inch threaded bar with a 2" ring on and tighened it up filled it with gravel and carpeted the outside with astro turf top looks awesome. and cheap.

I don't know if you could get one big enough for a Peregrine, but I read somewhere, somebody used an "Ornamental Candlestick holder" which they screwed to a board & covered the top with astroturf, I can't remember how they fixed a ring on though.

well mines 8" dia at the top it plenty for my lanner.

Thanks to all, I have made one block with a PVC tube and as weight a brake disk. I joint both with 2 compounds glue and electric brides? I haven´t a iron ring to make fast the leash then I use a rope, I don´t like this. Tomorrow I´ll upload a photo.

Made these myself out of thermalite blocks can be sawn and shaped very easy 3 blocks cost me about £20.00 to make and they work fine.
Shaft is covered in copper pipe as a loose fit, put ring on and welded large washer on bootom.
