I started this weekend with making blocks for our birds. What do you guys think of it?
The last block is finished the other one's need some work.
First class mate. Are you a carpenter by trade or is this a hobby? How much to make me one? ;)

Your ring stop may get your leash caught up so make sure it is press down 100%

Yes the ringstop will be next time all round so it will prevend that problem.
No I'm not a carpenter by trade but my dad is and he learned me this weekend how it works.

Nice blocks Gunther, what wood is it ? I used to make them myself (many years ago when I had more time) and one particular falconry centre owner always wanted the astroturf recessed flush with the top of the block. Apparently the leash runs more smoothly round the wood rather than getting hung up on the astroturf. Anybody do anything similar ??? PS if you need some "all round "ring stops-just let me know.

very nice gunther, i like a block with a good wide top, you can keep a small bird on a big block but you cant keep a big bird on a small block! keep it up mate. i wish i had the time to do my own, got some great ideas for some really advanced designs.
