Bobby Bond ? .... spent years with certain clubs in pursuit of his sport. A wartime hero too !

Quite a character.

Thannkyou Mac.

I'm suprised that others cant remember him - especially as we have so many oldtimers using the site :P.

I will be honest here - I knew about the film having read about it in one of the better known club journals.... but confess to not knowing the name. I will try and find a copy.

I spent four days at Bobby's and found him an eccentric sort, and he loved his falconry. He cruised around his place in an old MG with no tax or mot and he hid his past well.... I never knew of his past untill after his death and was amazed that a chap with such a past could keep it so secretive..... I can only guess he did'nt like to bragg.

Thanks for your reply.

just thought on. i remember mithering him about about hoodshy birds, i remember him saying about hooding errant falcons in the corner of a room, and clicking fingers etc

basically it was clicker training, positive reinforcement hood training! certainly years ahead of his game!

thanks for refreshing the old memories Sean!
