Hi
I have just bought a jeross telemetry system for my HH from someone on ebay. Unfortunately I don't know how to work it. Could any of you more knowledgable people out there give me some advice please. I've attached a photo of the system to this thread.
Thanks
Mike

Yes you take it to the nearest tip and make sure there is a load of open space!

Now throw it as far as you can and that is the best way to use it.

No seriopusly sell it on eBay again.

You have to sort of find the loudest signal and then go in the other direction, and that is the truth!

jeross are cheap but a few falconers seem to think that they are good, what needs to be taken into cosideration is built up areas ,and telephone masts and pilons as this can effect the frequecy all i can san is put it together get the locator tailmount take it in a field and place it down then walk a short distance and see if you can pick up a signal if so increase the distance and see how far you can go till you loose the signal, but remember where you placed it in the first place :)

Hiya,

I got a set and its truly rubbish! Was a christmas gift too! No good for falcons, but some ppl have used em with gos and harris, but nothing else. They are not great either, like what HM said, go in the other direction to were it says where the bleep is.

I would never have one on a Goshawk or a Harris or a cat!

to be honest, i might get a set, even if they only strecth 500 yards , they will still tell you which tree your bird is in, with all this bloody cover still about!

Try a tailbell, just as effective at short range
