View Full Version : Help in Surrey
My son has been interested in falconry for quite a while now and recently went on an experience day, which he enjoyed a lot. He's 13.
He would really like to learn more about falconry and spend time with birds of prey and I wondered whether some centres allow young people to help out or whether there is any easy way of getting involved as a young person.
Can anyone help? We live near to Kingston Upon Thames.
Thanks!
centres tend to have an influx of young people wanting to be a volunteer, they usually have to show willing to get work there .. the only forceeable problem i can see with your son is his age .. if he was a touch older it would be easier .. is your plan to get him a bird or just to let him experience it, if you are planning on him getting a bird at such a young age may i suggest that you go along yourself with him and get some experience or better stil if there are any falconers on here local to you they may be better to help you out and guide your son rather than him just cleaning out aviarys at a centre

good on ya paul, nice to see people stepping in to help out like that
Thanks for such quick replies.
At this point it's more about learning all about falconry and experiencing it rather than having a bird.
Thanks for the offer - we'll try and get in touch.
