Hello guys,
I’m looking to establish some breeding pairs of kestrels with a friend (we truly like these birds). We already have pairs of American Kestrels and I’m flying a male Common Kestrel that could become a breeder in the future (his getting an interesting pitch and will improve when the weather gives us a break...almost ready to bagged quail).
Well, having this 2 species we are looking for something different to add to our group of breeders and therefore I would like to ask if you guys know someone that is breeding Rock Kestrels in the UK (formerly a subspecies of tinnunculus so could be hard to find…see the photo) or any other kestrel species that could be added to your mews (Lesser Kestrels don’t appeal to us).
Adding to the Rock Kestrel we could also be interested in Greater Kestrels (prices please) and in Common Kestrels that prove to be bigger than ours (our Females average 200grs).
We are from Portugal but we would go and collect the birds and enjoy the country. You can believe we are no time wasters…just kestrel freak!
Hope someone could help me,
Regards
