View Full Version : Partition against use of birds of prey to continue fox hunting
hi i had a thought about us putting a petition on her showing the hunting comunity and the powers that be that we are not in sopport of the use of birds of prey to side step the hunting legislation .
im not against hunting with dogs i personaly had to retire a large pack of working lurchers and strong dogs because of the ban . but im dambed if im losing falconry because of the red coats that never supported me with my dogs or hunting. they sudenly all want to know falconers dont they .
i live in hunting country and both me and my partner work at a very large equestrian center . the same people that would not let you near there land last year with terrier lurcher or hawk all want to kiss as and tell you all about eagles etc .
personaly i cant stand them or there so called hunting which in my eyes is about 3,000 miles from pest controll or seriouse hunting .
so whos up for it ? if things turn nasty we could all lose our hawks falcons and eagles over this and for what a few toffs ?
i hope sparow can help with this one and do some soft ware to back it up , so we can submite a good printed partiton to the press the authoritys and hunts masters .
i was thinking we could get some one to write a collum for the cuntry mans weekly as they would publish our thoughts on this topic im sure .
remember if if the boot was on the other foot would they help us ???????

A petition would be better Matt :). The hawkboard and all major clubs are on the case, but good idea. They must realise that their actions are damaging and not welcome:(

Seriously I think a Petition would be taking falconry in the right direction. As you say bloody toffs want it all ways. : )
Quote me if im wrong, but these toffs only used to hunt with hounds as a sport, But falconers hunt for a way of living. I mean fOX hunting was a sport, but Falconry is a part of food supply going back many years, Not only for bird, but for human consumption as well. ( as long as you catch enough ). How many toffs did you see eating fox.

SUPERB! count me in...... some action may be just what the doctor ordered.
hi all been to work today the hole yard went out "hunting" it was opening meet with the belvoir hounds at rausby. the bevoir have a falconer who brings wait for it a chillian blue eagle female . im told she very scarred of the horese and hounds and baits all most all of the time trying to get away from them.
last week the fits patrick took there first fox with there goldy, it was on open fen land and the hole feild watched it im told.
all day i have been asked about the law over this topic . and told what good sports you falconers are for helping out ...
jessus i strugled to hold it in but managed all day .....
if we are to do somthing it should be soon as this is way out of hand allready and its getting to common...
i was tiold the fitz patrick had 3 falconers and lost there unregistered goldie for some time . why they have gone through so many falconers so fast i dont know.
so realy im asking for help to get this up and running asap as im not that bright and know litle about how to do it ..
the idea was that if we could get all the mebers to vote on here and them get the countrymans weekly to publish our votes so far maybe we would get allot more votes from none pc users and realy have some weight behind us .

we are calling for all those against this practise to vote to show our strength of felling against jeperdising our future practise .......

i hope we can keep momentom with this cos its getting better all the time.
the country mans weekly will do articlesm letters to the editor and ecitorials . so whos up for righting somthing in depth as it would also publisies the site !

bob dolton is doing a diary in it every week so ther is intrest in our way of life.

Well, not one foxhound pack has disbanded foxhunting is as strong as ever just goes to show what a bad drafted law this is.
The Antis are so angry that Foxhunting and even Stag hunting are still going on.

well i hope this will happen sooner rather than latter , please seek some pro advice as to how to put this together as we mite need this later,the anti hunting people will be doing.be careful on what you put on this forum as the anti &fox people are looking in.yes good idear but not for putting addressers on forum need to use pm some how then publish res on forum.
