Having secured quite a bit of Land already i am off today to meet up with a gamekeeper who is going to take me round some hot spots in his 4X4.
I have permission to lamp and fly all signed and sealed.
On this perticular farm its 15,000 acres and he says that there are a lot of warrens spread out.
With land secured and a new rifle on its way (Weihrauch HW100T .22) its looking good.
Just itching to get out there today

hw 100 is a good gun and the bolt system is the best ive seen....but ...it is very heavy ...get a sling put on it as it is a bitch to carry about without one and if you are taking standing shots you have to be quick before it starts waving about like erol flynns sword...through sheer weight....apart from the weight it is a cracking gun....

Yep! I know the weight is a issue but if you are built like Stallone its no problem.
The side leaver action is superb and the 14 shot mag is a bliss and i tell you the new screw on silencer is the quitest you have ever heard, it loved it i tried the AA 410 and a few others but it did not compare
That side lever action is brilliant.
Its heavy but stable.

Just returned and its good. Its mainly hunting with Dog land but there are a few very nice warrens .
These warrens tend to be in the Forests mainly or in Hedgerows which is great as i disturbed one and he ran over a massive field with nowhere to go.Great field to enter the bird on.
Spotted two Hares but was asked to leave them alone which i shall as the Farmer is a good bloke and i got time for him. In this perticular spot is full of foxes which he blasts with his rifle and scoring 9 or 10 a night. The place is also full of Ferel Pigeon and crow good sport for me and the bird.
Scared the **** out of me when i stepped an inch away from an Adder...****! it scuttled away but then 20 minutes i saw another all along this one hedgerow .....Interesting?
Well chuffed........................Now to ring up and see if they have dispatched my 100 yet:lol:
