I got 2 skins of a firend and put them on a dog dummy, but then released that they werent cured. how could i get this to stop smelling. it didnt stink untill last week when it got real wet. would some talcum powder help?

the bin will solve the prob shaun :) they need to be treated you can get the skins off ebay ready treated

when you dispose of them dont put them in the bin, what a waste! tuck them under the back seat of your car and forget about them! in no time at all you will have that authentic "falconers car smell" that everyones talking about.if your single youll never "score" again mind!

Get a couple of fresh skins and some Allum from the chemist, pin the skins to a board, scrape all the fat etc off rub in plenty of allum and leave to dry in the shed, sorted. (or buy off ebay might be quicker).

moses, i do a bit of fly tying and when i was given wings or capes of my uncle i use to just put them in the oven for 20 mins and that would kill the **** and things, then out them in my flytying cabinet which is full of moth balls
