the 2007 funds haven't been repaid, if they had been they would have paid for both BBQs and all the money raised would go to McMillan.:yawinkle:

Si

because I had this message from Terry after the festival and no one has bothered to ask for it

Colin please don't send the funds anywhere for now until we sort out where it has to go there is no point sending the cash to Paul if it is to be used for replacing the Camera equipment that Roy Beers had stolen as MickyDredd is dealing with this and to transfer it twice would add to expenses
Nice to see you at the Festival though M8
Terry :)

Seeing as the reply cant be added to the thread and the innuendo's passing about via the forum and Pm's

Can some one please advise where the hell does Colin need to sent this money? Direct to the Mc Millian sister appeal this way we know it will get there??? Just a suggestion:idea:

Well Folks . I have kept to my side of the bargain which was simply to keep tabs on all the money raised and all the money spent, and to publish a set of figures Showing a final balance to be paid to McMillan. I know some of you will be extremely disappointed that we haven't raised as much as you have raised in the past single handed but at the end of the day all we set out to do was raise enough money to have a BBQ at the festival, Pay Dean's Expenses and any money left over was to go to McMillan. Well thanks to Joe and a lot of other extremely generous offers we managed to raise a little bit more than "what was left over". You will also be pleased to know that Joe's BBQ only cost £37.50 in the end, so it hardly broke the bank, and as I said else where by the time the balance is added from the 2007 fund, we will have spent very little from this years fundraising.

Anyway, all that aside, I can now tell you that the Balance raised for McMillan is the Grand total of £1,844.82

As Stated I have kept to my side of the deal, and any questions relating to how and when it is going to be paid are nothing to do with me as I do not have access to the funds, I only hope, as do the rest of you, that the matter is dealt with ASAP!

Finally I would like to say a huge huge thank you to everyone who entered into the spirit of things and got involved with all aspects of the fund raising

Well done :goodman::goodman::goodman:

Simon

We can decide where the funds are to go as soon as we have decided who will do the presentation to Macmillan. This has to be arranged properly so that we the Forum can get some good PR out of it all.
I would suggest that Paul and Simon get in touch with each other to sort this out and then get Mr Colin to send the 2007 money to the right person. The less transfers by Paypal the better as they have had enough already out of this Fund Raiser

Yes I agree that the best choice would be Joe, Simon and Paul. However it would be a long trip for Joe and he will have to decide if he is up to it at the moment.

Funny you should ask that question Kev as I asked Paul the same question this morning. The answer is no the cheque has not been given to the charity yet.
I would suggest that Simon gets in touch with Paul to make the arrangements. it would appear that there is less in the fund than we expected PayPal have taken a fair chunk out of it Paul has the figurers for that.

Kev this money was raised for a worthwhile charity and like you I am keen to see them get the Cheque, this should have been dealt with months ago and to tell the truth I had forgotten about it but for some reason this morning I thought about it and phoned Paul for an answer.
What we need to do is get Paul, Simon, Colin and Joe talking and get the arrangements made to pass on the money with a little publicity for the IFF as well. It would not be difficult to sort out all they need to work out is how much cash there is at the moment add the 2007 funds and get a Cheque drawn. Could all be sorted in a Day and then arrange a date for the handing over.
Terry :)

As far as I'm concerned this is the state of the account, the Paypal figures are the figures given to me by Paul, so they may need adjusting. Paul has access to this information and indeed the cash.

Kev, I don't have access to Pauls Paypal account so can't have access to the fees. However it works out that Paypal takes 54 pence per £10.00 so that works out as Paypal took £140.00.

I have just spoken to Paul and as soon as we get the 2007 balance paid we will organise the cheque for the full amount that I have published.

What a completely disgraceful situation. It's hardly suprising though, from a forum that can't even manage to get a condolence book to the family of a deceased member. The only thing the 'arrangers' of this forum seem to manage are barbeques where people get to gossip and stuff their faces. 'Charity' most certainly begins at home.

...Rene.

I am finding it hard not to agree with these posts.

Whilst raising the money was a superb effort and everyone involved with raising it should be very proud - it seems somewhat unseemly for the money raised to have been "resting" in a private bank account for goodness knows how many months.

Come on guys - stuff the publicity. Write a cheque right now and get it in the post tomorrow.

Hi George the money doesn't have to be wrestled, I think it was a case of Paul having some personal problems and was unobtainable for a while. not an excuse I know but I can assure you Paul is as keen to get this finalised as you are.

Pete Paul thought that we needed a bigger area then we had at the 2007 Festival so the Committee agreed that we should get a second Marquee.

I do not have any of this equipment Paul has it. There was nothing wrong with the first Marquee so we now have 2 that can be used for Forum functions BBQ's etc.

If you need any further info please contact Paul or one of the committee and I am sure they will give you the answers. I was not involved in the IFF at the Festival as I was too tied up with the UKEFA and getting Eagles ready for the Kazakh's to carry so I was not involved at all until I had to sort things out with the Festival organisers who had not allotted a space for the IFF

Ok just to clarify the way forward. as soon as I receive the Cheque from the 2007 fund and the balance of the Account from Paul, also any final donations from members to try and get us up to £2000.00 I will raise a cheque from my bank account for the full amount made out to mcMillan. The cheque can go as soon as the funds clear. However we will also arrange a formal presentation to McMillan.

Just 1 question if we are going to hold out for the £155.18 to take us up to the 2K, how long shall we hold out? Obviously I can't raise a cheque until the funds clear my account.

I will be speaking to Colin today to arrange a cheque to be sent to Simon, who will not be on line much for a few days as he has Swine Flu, I will then ask Paul to send the remaining funds by cheque to Simon so we can bring this matter to an end.
I agree this has taken some time to be dealt with but in fairness to Paul please bear in mind that his head has been up his ar$e due to having to move into a new house and the problems he has had fighting AH over his birds and that is still not resolved so go easy on him guys he has enough on his plate already.
Terry :)

Just to confirm I have made contact with Colin, and he is withdrawing the money from his paypal account which was the balance of the 2007 account, as soon as this money hits his bank he is going to pay the cash straight into my account, this will mean I will be holding the sum of. £667.00. I'm sure this will all be wrapped up very soon and McMillan will get a nice little Christmas Present courtesy of the IFF.
