Has anyone used this device this season and what do you think of it.

I must say the build quality is great! Antenna is short enough and it is great to use with the magnet on/off switch.

A friend starts to use it tomorrow so we will keep you posted.

The TX tube also looks thinner than a Luksander or Wildlife Tracking one.

Don't think so

HawkNorth

That is why I said it looks like it.

I think it is because the cap is smaller than theirs.

Griff are you talking about the receiver or transmitter ? The receiver is and always has been made by Wildlife Materials Inc - it was badged as a Marshalls TRX 3 channel receiver (it wasn't made by marshalls other than the yaggi and pistol grip), it is now sold as falconry Electronics TRX 3 channel receiver - it is still made by Wildlife Materials Inc.

The transmitters I don't know about, but seriously doubt they are marshalls.

Jim.

Hi Jim

Ok....no probs... looks like I got it a bit bit mixed up in translation ..lol ..... still looks a good system and I do like the appearance of the transmitters. The guy I was talking to uses the system on his own falcons and hawks and he has not had any problems with the system at all by all accounts.

I use an MN10 and a 6v Luxy trans.... and I think I will purchase the TX-20 for the features on it....like the low battery monitor and the mag on and off... and the 30 mile range and the 7-8 days life.

Couldent fault my tx-9 tranny untill the other week it has a slightly higher profile than the marshall rt plus, so doesnt sit as close to the tail. a wire fence got between the tranny and tail mount after the harris caught a rabbit going through a fence-i was lucky and the deck feathers wernt pulled out-i realise that this is probably very rare but never the less something to bear in mind particually on hawks.

their costomer service is second to non.

i was only getting a faint signal at 1mile
sent it to eddie(Falconry E) & he said it was the contacts in the battery compartment so he upgraded it with the new crystals inside as well as having the BSC mode (switches onto low power after 12 hours). Be okay for the gos,the tx-12 i had on the pere/lanner ****ed up as well. Not a good sign, people should always field test them at range even if they do give a good pulse close by

they were selling it at the falconry fair last year-dont know if it any good but they seemed like nice enough people, they are not falconers though and the system was not built purley for falconry.

saying that it might be very good?
how much is a set?

merry christmas

Not as rare as you think. The same thing happened to my HH, second season, first day free! At the top of a 10 foot railway fence!
