Hi has anyone got a african spotted eagle owl to sell .
Ive just sold my red tail and have opened up my other mew for my male african spotted owl and would like to get a companion for him .
What would be the best option if anyone knows ,am i better getting a male or
female ?
Im not particularly interested in breeding i just want him to have a m8 .
Thanks
Johnny

I dunno...if your locked in a room for the rest of your life with a woman and you dont get on...thats HELL, but locked in with a bloke...its probably no as bad!

i know that feeling well,i came back from Shropshire last night with two Indian Eagle Owls,a nice round trip of just under 200 miles, they were a bit p***ed off when first put in the mews, but this morning seem to have settled in & have both fed ok tonight, one was for a so called mate, but he let me down today  But his loss is my gain as now i've got a pair :supz: .give her a couple of days & im sure that she will settle in ok.Looks like you now also have a pair  best of luck ;) & pleased that i could be of some help with your hunt.

Shropshire you swine you could of picked my owl up as well ,lol
Whats the best way to introduce the owls ,?
(1) Should i just let the birds look at each other for a few weeks parted .
(2) Should i release into the her into the mew and keep a close observation
on them and monitor ?
(3) Should i slip my male some viagra and get the camcorder out,lol

Any replies would be of great help
Thanks
Johnny

i know some people who would say to wait, others say just put them together, but personally i would give her a few days rest from her travels to make sure that she's feeding ok & non the worse for her travels, then when your satisfied that everything is ok health wise, put them together, but keeping a close eye on them.Hopefully love will blossom.Has she settled down since last night?

Yeah the owls chilled a lot m8 ,
She doesnt like the touching ,but you cant blame her she,s been breeding ,she,s bowed out in the conservatory at the moment ,ill leave her there till week end and introduce slowly .?i was thinking if its dry to leave her bowed out infront of the mew so our male can see her .
What do you think big cheif charlie potato????/
Thanks
