hi i would like some advise the thing is that i intend to get myself a male harris next year now the thing is that i live in the sticks with a small garden and a oil tank coz we dont have mains gas can anyone advise me in the minimum aviry sife that i can build without being crool to the bird many thanks andy

if you can garentee you can fly him pretty much every day, you can afford to go pretty small and teather him. This is not my prefered option though. Min free loft size I would say...high enough for a sheltered pearch over 6 feet high...sorts out most of the frost/cold weather problems ...and 6 or 7 foot square/ thats the min I would like to see a hawk in...you could maybe get away with less, but with kindnes in mind I wouldnt...and make it much bigger if you can! - see how much garden you have and use all you are allowed upto the priece you can afford. then it should be big enough ! (although I have not seen the garden :D)
