Just heard this tonight, by word of mouth, haven't got any concrete details on this at the moment so I appologise if this this isn't 100% correct!
Apparently there's a new piece of legislation coming out which means that your not able to sell any animal product i.e rabbit to a butchers or even give to a friend to eat without having a certificate in meat hygiene. The cost of the course is around £117.
That means you won't be able to sell rabbits, game etc to game dealers, pubs etc without being able to prove the traceability of the product! You'll be given a depastch code so if anything goes wrong the product can be traced to its source! Pubs etc who don't abide by this may suffer heavy penalities!
