The Raptor Foundation (charitable organisation) takes in injured BOP's and does it's level best to release them into the wild again. It also takes in unwanted 'pet' birds, and birds siezed by RSPCA/Customs.

They are based just outside St Ives in Cambridgeshire.

Well worth a visit and is highly regarded by the London Veterinary College. Wonderful ethos.

Have I understood correctly!
The site states that they house a Changable Hawk Eagle!

Seems an odd example of an unwanted raptor!!!

As I understand it, Shadow was smuggled in as a baby and siezed by customs

I think you'd be looking a long time if you looked for it in Iran! And I certainly don't fancy Iraq - I'm not brave enough!
