Hi Matt got in at 11pm thanks for you comment's and a good day yesterday and yes i will keep you and ever one else up tp date on storm.
The 1 thing i will say just now is that MTR has done to good job? plus a lot of time put in to storm And from what i saw and heard yesterday it was not like MTR was passing on a screemer just never had the time due to work and was sad to see Storm go but was thinking of storm long trem.
But as we were saying yesterday matt It just a shame that sometimes posts on this site can't be written with out some1 coming along and having a go.
SJ do you tell everbody on this site that is selling a bird to get the person vetted??
I'm sure that MTR would tell you that i'm not just 1 of these Guy that think look at me i have a BOP.
Far from it Myself and my mate put a lot of time and care into our Birds.
I think sometime people forget that every1 has to start some where and learn with years at Falconry.

Thanks for your comments jazz im glad you liked the way he flew. and the way he was trained. storm was my first bop and has taught me more than any week course could offer. iam not saying dont go on a course but there is nothing like hands on training a wild bird and seeing him fly free for the first time. it sends a chill through your body what a feeling. iam hoping to get a falcon as this is what ive always wanted but for my own reasons felt like a hawk first would be a good idea. i have some avairy work to do first. was sad to see him go but i know jazz has a passion for his birds and from what ive seen of them ,they are stunning. he has a genuine intrest in falconry and i hope we will remain freinds. and for him to keep me updated with storm. happy hawking. MATT.

Instead of driving down Me my son+travel box got on the 07.30 train at Edinburgh with 1 change of trains we got in at Huddersfield 11.15.
MTR was there to pick us up went back to matt house for the afternoon met matt's wife and there son.
My return train was not untill 5.30pm so we took Storm out for and fly a good hour and a half we were away he was flying well at 1.9+Due 2 matt's work had not been out for about 2weeks.
Storm has not been entered yet but saying that he took a Flight at a magpie yesterday.
Went back to the house matt's wife wash my son trousers they were black with all the mud from the field's we got our tea to.
Got Storm into the box and matt run us back for my train At 5.30pm had to change at York were the train was running late so we never got back into Edinburgh untill 10pm back up the road for 11pm.
Going out with Abeboy and F/h on Monday taken storm don't think it will take much to get him entered will just let him see what goes on the next few days out get him on a dead rabbit lure and take it from there.
Just to say Thanks to MTR and his wife for putting up with myself and conner:lol:
a very nice couple.
Plus good work with what you managed with Storm Matt:supz:
Cheers Gary

he has a male and a female 05 birds untouched would this be a good choice of bird iv got varied land open moor to woodland but we have thousands of crows that is what i would hunt mainly and would like to do some lure work too.

the female would be the best bet then mate, but its getting late in the year now & all the quarry is strong on the wing which means the falcon will have a tough time getting entered-try to get a few dead crows ready for the arrival of your bird & feed her/him with them, that way he/she will know that black stuff is grub.

Today myself and jazz1 took young storm and our older female harris(fern) and heike with his young female harris (heike) for a family day out.The weather was rather windy for flying young birds so we decided to keep storm on the glove, better safe than sorrry.A few bolters were had on the morning and the young female harris was nearly entered but our older female piled in and the younger bird lost her footing and the rabbit was gone and the young bird aint speaking to fern now:mad: .Heike had work commitments and left us at lunchtime.Things picked up in the afternoon and fern had a good few slips and caught young storm his late lunch Here is a pic of him on the rabbit iam sure i heard him say what in the hell is that thing But once he got a taste there was no stopping him maybe in the next few weeks he can return the favour and catch fern a late lunch.;-)
