and what a day :D, as some of u know i posted a message 2 weeks back coz the lad at the falconry place had closed his place for a few weeks coz he was building some stuff in it and i couldnt go out for a days hunting and experience and asked if someone will take me out and i will pay them.
stephen heard my call of distress :D aka stephen from the falconry forum here, i swear to God one of the nicest and kindest people of em all and he took me out for free haha , oh God i was so excited i woke up this morn at 6 am i only had 3 and a half hrs rest, was so excited preparing for it this morn and was gonna meet him in kilmarnock for 8 am.
he told me to cover up properly just in case we get severe weather, im glad i took his advice it was so cold , their was sleat and rain, it was shocking , but dry before we started , his mate sean came along with his 2 female harris hawks too one his own the other one was a young bird he was training and brought it over to be manned and to get used to being handled and the outside world, he was so kind and awesome he gave the bird in training to me to look after and man and hold, aww man i loved it, thanks alot sean and steven i owe u guys so much, i swear to God im the happiest man in the planet today, wonderful folk indeed.
they picked me up from the carpark and took me in their jeep to the countryside, they brought 4 harris hawks with them , jenna aka stephens female harris is so ****ing huge, its awesome and she looks like an eagle, she is so awesome and obediant, she just vanishes whenever she feels like and reappears haha just before stephen enters the next field, so obediant like a wonderful dog but an awesome killer
while i was trying to control the young bird which was getting a lil excited when the other females were bolting towards something, well it was a hare , jenna attacks it and well seans female attacks it the same time haha , like 2 sharks going for a single prey to rip apart, what a flight, a pity the hare won the day it went into the bush things and was lost, they were so close to getting it, what a fight it would have been.
but well jenna doesnt give in she spots something which stephen didnt and well bang , klop , talon in, and next feathers out , she caught a bird and then coz of the bad wind and rain, hardly anything was out, so i swear to God never ever excercised this much since i was a kid, i was so unfit compared to sean and stephen, their used to it, my ankles r still sore and my legs r killing me, i feel so drained it was like a military excercise, through woods, hills and moors and bogs that want to sink u in like quick sand.
the big steep hill got me at the end, it was so hard to walk up it after i twisted my ankle just a few yards behind
but the day was worth every pain and i owe these guys so much for everything , the best part was i didnt know i will get to look after a harris for the day and sean gave me the surprise
next jenna at it again, she hunts a feral pigeon inside and chases it around haystacks like a cat chasing a mouse, well stephens bird got into a place where stephen and i cant get into haha so tight and well it got the feral pigeon and only sean was skinny enuff to get the harris and its prey out of it

i swear i would have loved to get a wonderful bird like jenna, she is so awesome and what a beauty ,her flying is art in itself, so dark and beautiful.
i came hame slept for an hr after a shower coz i was so tired woke back up at 1.30 pm and took the wife and lil daughter out and what a day
thanks alot stephen and sean, God bless u both and all the wonderful falconers like u,falconers r so kind and charitable and i have to say have the biggest hearts.
