View Full Version : tv programme
Just to let every body know that there is a programme on this wednesday about a pair of European Eagle Owls breeding in Yorkshire. Seemingly they have been breeding for a few years and they think they have successfully raised something like 23 young.
The programme is on at 8pm on BBC2. Not sure if it is on down in England but it has a listing for BBC Scotland.
Raises the subject of how many EEO are now out there living in the wild and has anyone seen them on a regular basis. I have heard of quite a few from other people in Scotland but i have never seen 1 in the wild.

its just another thing for them to moan about .so it makes them look like there doing a good job.. they should be more conserned with the state of our rivers.and water ways. i for one think its great to have them back.

Where is the evidence that EEOs were ever native to Britain? Don't get me wrong I'm as happy to see them as any raptophile although one can't help but wonder what ecological imapact might there be with the arrival/re-arrival of an alien predator (looks weird). There was a massive debate on the 'Bird Forum' site a while ago and I don't think anyone was able to prove that EEOs were ever native.
