Im using a single thickness spar glove at the moment, but its starting to get annoying when my bird bites the trim of the glove lol!. so was just wondering where i can get a decent full length single thickness glove at a resonable price, eg not over 30 quid lol

Ben Long does a full length single, so does MJones. If you can get the leather make your own lol. Or, abit cheaper is Karen Rose, £37? Bit much maybe but what your looking for might be.

OK if you don't want Ben long try timber wolf. I have tryed them before and i think they are not to good and i would not buy anything else from them but there glove was cheep (£20) and i do use them for the people on my courses and they have stood up to the use and still going. I would not like to see how they would stand up to heavy use, but like i said they are or where only £20

Sean - Make your own - Glasiers book has a good simple pattern and instructions. I have found it fits most men unless they have hands the size of hams (!).

Try this guy for good quality elk hide (you want no more than 2mm though) I got a 12ft hide for £60 - which makes about 5 gloves!!

Best if you give them a call and tell them what you want - they will take a credit card over the phone no problem.

why do you want a cheap glove when a well made glove will last you years

Have her gloves actually got any better for the price in the 5 years since I last saw one?

Very true, which is why I have always made my own..I have never bought a glove. If and when I sell mine I usually charge about £20. This covers the cost of the leather, it normally takes about 3 (solid) hours to make one.

i would rather pay my wife for a hand stitched elk glove £100 that will last me a life time than a ben long or yarak as i have seen what they look like after a while the machine stitching is falling apart

Ere you go - this is elk - bit of a strange colour I know - I was told it would be black (?). Its thick (3mm) but incredibly supple. This glove is for the ferru and is reinforced on the cuff as she likes to 'kill' my arm. Another good reason for making your own gloves - you can make them specifically for your purposes!!

Doug Pineo makes quality, not expensive gloves. The pendleton will do for a male harris no problem and costs about £20. I've used them with the female and male gosses also with the spar.

Just bought the double skin gauntlet, took a week to get here from the states, postage a fiver.

i agree with addi..... if you buy ****, it's gonna stink.... splash out them extra pounds and it'll last you alot longer than a cheapy one. i have a ben long one that i've had for ages and still going strong....all they need is regular cleaning and treating. general care of equipment.

There nice gloves I purchased one on Ebay within the UK last year, can't remember the name though! There were quite a few being sold on there!
