Hi all, Heike caught her first rabbit today, she had a rake of good flights but cover always thwarted her, but eventualy she nailed one, also had a flight at a woodcock, i am just chuffed for her, she deserved it, let her feed up and called it a day, bolted by the ferrets and it was a crackin day. cheers

BRILLIANT. I love it when birds get entered after several good flights. She looks like shes enjoying it. Keep us posted, especially on how much her behaviour changes because of it.

well done heike and bird ofcourse dont forget let her have a good reward from each kill for the first half a dozen just to let her know that putting all the effort in is really worth while then you will be able to just give her a good reward at the end of the days hunting. hope this makes sence all the best KEV. :yawinkle:

Dont worry, she got the warm heart and liver etc, and fed up on it till she was full, and she will get a good feed for the next 1/2 doz or so any way, she had flown very gutsy for a young bird, she had one by the back end but it got out her grasp, then the next one she made no mistakes and hit it in the head and shoulder, it was going no where, thanks for the congrats everybody.:lol:

No she didnt even get offered the guts, reckon she deserved the bloody bits better, she was 2lb 1 1/2oz Gary. Also as a bonus she was free lofted tonight.that was planned anyway.
