OK, then so we will be on the look out for: A Gos, Lanner, hybrid or Peregrine tiercel, that may or may not have jesses and aylmerii on, but, what is easily seen is the ring on each leg or is that only one ring, on the left leg.
People need to know as much info as possible if you want help, else someone may just buy it and not even know if it is not a registrable bird.
I am not looking for hassles, just want to help!

I have to say I agree with HM on this one. I am not likely to pick up this bird down here in Kent but you never know do you.
Has the bird got any equipment on? was it in a Chamber or blocked out? If it was blocked out then it would appear from you first post that the owner dosn't know how he lost it and just found it gone so is there a chance it could be tangled up somewhere if it has a leash still attached.
No one on here likes to hear another Falconer has lost His/Her bird especially in strange circumstances so the more info you can make available the better chance there is of getting it back.
Have you informed the IBR? they are normally the first to hear about found birds
All the best and I hope he gets his bird back

Mature plumage or brown bird etc. Other than 2 eyes, 2 wings, 2 feet, having a yorkshire accent and being a male - might be hard to lookout for

lost my bird a couple of years ago and i put an add in the local paper, down loaded some good pics of a harrishawk put all my details on and posted then in shop windows etc as i would have done anything to get my bird back,i do understand not wanting to let people know you keep birds of prey but this is the good thing about mobile phones no one needs to know your home address as once bird has been sited contact number then thats it ,think some people in falconry are stuck so far up their own arse thinking they are the ownly one to own a bird of prey they carnt see where their walking
