Well thought it was about time i told those that are interested how my new male per/barb called bomber is going on right here goes 2 weeks to the day on a cold november night i had arranged to look on a veiw to buy an may 05 untouched falcon off our very own barbary boy it worked out well to pick him up as peter gill was picking some birds up from keith during the day and was happy to pick up my new falcon and take him back to his house for me to inspect and collect if he was what i wanted.and it was going to save me a 6 hour road trip so i trundeled off to peters at 9 o clock sunday night to pick him up met peter got him hooded checked him out what a cracking little bird boxed up paper work exchanged and off home we went. got home put him on the scales at 1lb7 3/4oz blocked him put him in the mews and left him till the morning i had the day off work just to make sure he was coping and not going to hang himself on his equipment let me tell you this bird was mental just trying to kill me. monday morning i went out picked him up and to start some manning and hood practice needless to say he wasnt a happy camper i offered food but nothing taken all day oh well worth a try. i was getting slightley worried that it was 2 days and a night without wanting to feed so i thought i would secome and feed him on the block as i was bending down to put it on his block he jumped on my hand and started to tere apart a doc . thank god for that. no1 hurdle.

round 2 i didnt want to try and rush him because he was a late bird and set in his ways but he is doing fine but still a handfull . slowley bringing his weight down over a week and a half ive ended up at 1lb 4 oz befor a responce was made he then came leash length for 2 chicks and i let him have well done bomber. but still very agressive on friday this week he now ways 1lb23/4oz and a differant bird no attitude at all he flys to me when i walk in his mews . he is now on the creance 20ft to the glove coming on well untill a little mishap dont ask me how but the creance became detatched and he was free and befor you all start yes iam competant a tying a falconers knot. i just froze he just stood there looking around so i just didnt do anything different just offered food and whistled he came to the glove thank god secured drama over could of been a different post. so thats it for now il try and get some pics up but my camera is playing up .
