How about giving your bird the turkey neck for xmas. I'm sure I read somewhere that they are great tirings.

tirings are a good idea if you dont have an owl

give him a rabbit head and the whole thing disappears fairly quickly (nice whiskers on the pellets though  )

same with most other things he just rips them apart and swallows them

i remember xmas eve at the centre, the birds used to get there xmas dinner on chrismas eve usually as the falconer didn't fancy gutting rabbits and rats xmas morning, but since i was there to help we got all xmas day food prepared on xmas eve so she just had to feed them, don't see any reason why people with one or two birds would feed chicks on xmas day

birds dont know what day it is, alot of people will be hunting on boxing day so need to keep the weight tight. and chicks are a good source of food, even tho the fact that there cheaps makes u think otherwise.

the hunting birds at the centre had rabbit doesn't have to be rich but think it makes us feel better that they had something they like if they're being ignored all day lol

I know you shouldnt but Shi will have a chick as he does love them ,and a nice rat to finish off. It's not chicks is al he's had, but he doesnt get them often so it's like a treat. Jabbu prob a quail - she loves them! Or, if I can get a couple, maybe sum mice...

One of my mate's will be looking after Shi and Jabbu new year, they could have anything from duck to ostrich lol! My m8 has a best quality quail aswell.

Very techincally it is illegal to hunt anything on Christmas day. Even the humble rabbit, as this come under the heading of "being in pursuit of connie on the sabath". Good luck though to everybody whoes "exercising" their bird on christmas day.

I voted quail, but will be out hunting that day and if something dies that is his dinner, Mort (male RT) only has one kill so far this year, but I have brought his weight down a tad more and the last couple days he has been much more interested in chasing.

Damn my fear of taking him too low hahahahahahaha, working on it though!!
