Falconry In South Africa.

Hi all,
as i am going to South Africa in February next year could any of you point me in the right direction as i would love to go and see a bit of falconry/hunting while i am over there.I am going to the Mapumalanga region which is right next to the southern boundary of the Kruger national park and would love to know if there are any falconers or falconry centers in or near to that area.Also i would be interested to know if there are any falconry equipment suppliers around that region.

Where exactly are you going? If it is close to the Kruger Park your best bet will be to get together with Mark Holder and Mark Bett, the chaps are at the Dullstroom Bird Of Prey and Rehabilitatin Centre. Telephone: 0027 13 254 0777 or email on falconer@dullstroom.net

They can also put you in touch with Tim and many other falconers. If you are going more west, then you can always get hold of a guy called Kobus, but let me know first where you are going.

I happen to have some contacts with some falconer from South Africa. He was in Netherlands last year and did visit me . I am quite sure he lives near Kruger Park. I will send you PM also about this
