Dose any one know if it is possible to breed from two perlins naturally and, has this been done be for I seem to remember seeing an advert for a perlin x Prairie Falcon dose any one else know of any thing like this?
hiya goshood, I think its impossible to breed perlinXperlin coz in most cases at hybreds the females are infertile and also not all of the males are fertile, okay there is sum variations where u can get mostly fertile males and females 4 an example like the gyrXsakers, in the case ofd perlinXprairie, well hmm donno 4 sure, but the male have to be the perlin and the female have to be the prairie.... its not sure 4 100% that the perlinXprairie conbination will work, but lets see if sumone have more experience about this will reply here and let us know the true.... I also wanna know it :)

Not a good combination to start off a project with.'
I am not sure if anyone has ever had a fertile egg from a female Perlin and Prairies are bad tempered sods at the best of times. The only way to test this scheme is by the use of AI as I am sure a male Prairie would soon kill a Female Perlin and eat it as a snack.
Try breeding something easier first like chickens or quail.

The question was Perlin to Perlin Terry, any idea if they could produce young, either naturally or by AI?

IMHO I don't think it is possible, we wasted many years trying with Female Gyr x Peregrines and even got fertile eggs but they never hatched, I think the only person to hatch a GP egg was Les Boyde in the US and the chick died at around 21 days.
It is possible that the Male could be fertile but not the Female.
I am 99% certain that this combination would not work, I might be wrong and someone may correct me, but before you do lets see the evidence and no Bull **** eh!

Thank you for your thoughts on the matter of perlin to perlin I was only wondering if it was possible as I am flying a female and she is now 4 years old and has done a little of displaying to other birds on different occasions. And remember seeing a advert for a peregrine x merlin x Prairie and was only wondering if it was doable to do perlin to perlin.
